The crash in 2008 caused the price of solid wood to dramatically increase, the once profitable south moved to northern China where labour costs and supply were more manageable.
We have explored well over 60 solid wood suppliers in the North of China from Shandong right up to the Russian border, exploring factories in Jiamusi where you can still see the use of horse and cart and Heated factories, quite a contrast to the tech-based south.
We now continue to work with many solid wood and veneer suppliers in the north of China and in the South of Vietnam.
